Godfrey, Braun & Frazier has a distinguished history of over 75 years of legal service in Milwaukee and Wisconsin to publicly traded companies, small and medium-size closely-held businesses, governmental entities, non-profit organizations, and individuals. Current Firm members take pride in succeeding to such as Walter Bender, Kneeland A. Godfrey, and Rodger S. Trump, who founded the law firm and had distinguished legal careers in Milwaukee. Mr. Godfrey, Managing Partner, has been with the Firm over 35 years. The emphasis of his practice is in business law, taxation, estate planning, and nonprofit entities. He also has extensive charitable service over the years, including President of the Village of Elm Grove, and Chairman of the Board of the Blood Center of Southeastern Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Chapter of the American Red Cross, among others.
Mr. Braun has been with the Firm as Partner for over 25 years. His emphasis has been civil litigation, real estate, municipal law, and banking. He is a former Assistant Corporation Counsel for Milwaukee County and has a state-wide reputation in condemnation law, and municipal law. He has been active in numerous charitable and fraternal entities, including Milwaukee Rotary and the Harambee Community School.
Mr. Frazier also joined the Firm over 25 years ago as a Partner. Over the years he has emphasized business and corporate law, estate planning, environmental, human resources, real estate, and railroad and transportation law, including litigation. He is a long-time member of the Milwaukee Kiwanis Club, Director and past Chair of the 440th Airlift Wing Community Council, past Board member of the Mequon Zoning Board of Appeals, and is active in civic and church affairs in Mequon.
Mr. Riebel joined the Firm in 1985 and became a Partner in 1989. He concentrates his practice in the areas of general corporate law, including formation and acquisition, employment management, and real estate. He is a founding member of a Brookfield Rotary Club and its past President. He has addressed diverse business groups on a wide subject of business law related topics.
Mr. Hein joined the Firm in 2001. His practice focuses on litigation, business consultation, and estate and financial planning. He is co-author of a chapter in the Law of Damages in Wisconsin and has presented programs for the State Bar of Wisconsin and other legal associations on topics including discovery, professional malpractice, professional responsibility, securities law, securities aspects of real estate transactions, and minority shareholder squeeze-outs. He presently serves on the Board of Governors of the Wisconsin Bar Association, and as a Director of the Skylight Opera Theatre, and Presbyterian Homes of Wisconsin, Inc. He has also served on the Shorewood School Board and as a Director of the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra and the United Performing Arts Fund.
Mr. Salomon joined the firm as a partner in 2005. In his practice, he advises businesses, their owners, professionals and other individuals concerning business law, estate planning and related areas. A member of the Milwaukee Estate Planning council, he has authored articles on trust and estate issues and on corporate law topics. He also has been active in community and other volunteer organizations.
